This was the first Portland Band to blow me away in the late mid-late 70s. The were very giving, and taught those of us in NU SHOOZ, Felicidades, and Crazy 8s a thing or two about Reggae, Calypso, Ska, and Samba, and Afro Cuban music. Great talented kid, but I thought he was in a weight lost program since 2015. Christone was in Dr. Phil regarding his obesity and was supposed to be in a program to lose weight. Sure, don't want the see this young talent dying at an early age due to his bad health choices.

Sick, man! These guys were just SICK! I loved them when their album first came out and have always wished they kept going. They had influences of Steely Dan while Steely was still getting booed out of shows by those a bit behind the times; a little touch of Billy Cobham with Tommy Bolin; Pablo Cruise; some Spyro Gyra maybe... they were great. I wish I'd seen them live. I feel SO fortunate to have their album still, and to have taken such good care of my albums!!! These guys were a band for the ages. Jazz and Rock and a little New Wave before it existed... too cool!
